Easton ST Axis® FMJ N-FUSED™ Carbon Shafts

Combine the precision and straightness of aluminum with the stiffness, durability and extra speed of carbon, and you have hunting-arrow perfection. FMJ N-FUSED™ construction utilizes a small-diameter, thick-walled carbon core with Hidden Insert Technology for armor-piercing penetration and superior durability. Low-glare, microsmooth alloy surface reduces wear on the arrow rest, eliminates draw noise and makes for easier removal from targets. Shafts come complete with X Nocks installed, HIT inserts, chamfer stone, installation tool and HIT epoxy. (Points and broadhead ring adapters sold separately.)  Shafts come full length with HIT inserts loose. Per 12. Made in USA.

Effective arrow for me

I'm not a arrow guru. Just a guy who likes hunting. So when my Browning Excellerator limbs cracked, I went looking for a new bow and arrows. A lot had changed technologically in all those years!
The Cabela's tech helped me a lot. I now shoot the Axis FMJ 400, with a 28" draw length, and 100 grain G5 Montec broadhead. I'm only shooting 56 lbs but this arrow setup has delivered quiet deadly speed and superb penetration.
The "proof was in the pudding", as they say, when I bow hunted in Africa. The arrow generated a complete pass thru on a 660lb waterbok, a warthog, & Impala. It penetrate 2/3 on a monster kudu which dropped in 60 yards.
For me, pulling the lighter draw weight, this stiff arrow delivers more of the energy to the impact.
I think it is worth every penny. I've just bought another set.

please note that these are shafts only, not arrows with fletching as inidicated by the picture. I was dissapointed to learn that after they arrived. Cabelas team - please update picture with "shafts only visible" to match the actual product. thanks!

EXCELLENT ARROW

THE EASTON FULL METAL JACKET IS NOW MY ARROW OF CHOICE. I SHOOT THE 340 WHICH BY SOME STANDARDS MIGHT SEEM A BIT HEAVY BUT IF YOU HAVE A BOW SUCH AS HOYT, MATHEWS, BOWTECH, PSE IT CAN HANDLE THIS HEAVIER WEIGHT. THE KINETIC ENERGY GAINED FAR OUT WEIGHTS THE BIT OF SPEED I LOSE USING THE 340. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL DIFFERENT WEIGHT ARROWS IN MY HOYT ALPHA MAX 32 SET AT 70 POUNDS AND THESE ARE A BONE BUSTING, PUT EM ON THE GROUND ARROW.
SPEED IS ONE THING PENETRATION IS EVERYTHING AND I CAN ASSURE YOU IF YOU GO TO A HEAVIER ARROW AND BROADHEAD, YOU WILL PUT MORE DEER ON THE GROUND. I SHOOT A 125 GRAIN SPITFIRE, I TOOK 5 DEER IN 2011 USING THIS SET UP, PLUS A COYOTE WHICH NEVER NEW WHAT HIT HIM, HE DID NOT GO ANYWHERE, SMACK DOWN ON THE GROUND WITH A GAPING HOLE A BASE BALL WOULD HAVE PASSED THROUGH.
ALL OF THE DEER EXCEPT ONE EXPIRED WITHIN SIGHT OF MY STAND, THE OTHER AN 11 POINT BUCK WENT 100 YARDS AND WENT DOWN JUST OUT OF MY SIGHT. I CAN HONESTLY SAY HEAVIER IS BETTER WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR ARROW SHAFT AND BROADHEAD, YOU WILL PUT MORE DEER ON THE GROUND WITH SHORTER TRACKING EFFORT. TRY AN ARROW OR TWO USING THIS SETUP, YOU WILL ONLY HAVE TO ADJUST YOUR SIGHT AND THATS IT. VERY EASY TO DO, IF YOU ARE SHOOTING LOW MOVE THE SIGHT DOWN, SHOOTING HIGH MOVE IT UP. SAME APPLIES TO VERTICAL AND HORIZONAL, DON'T BE AFRAID TO EXPERIMENT A BIT. YOU WILL HAVE MORE GAME ON THE GROUND AND MUCH SHORTER BLOOD TRAILS,. SHOOT STRAIGHT AND GOOD LUCK !

If you are looking for a fast arrow with more kinetic energy than a full carbon, then these are great! Almost unbelievable penetration. Very satisfied!
