Amazing in the water.
Date:
Got this kayak for duck hunting and fishing small ponds, and i must say it is amazing! I have used it in small creeks and ponds and it tracks incredibly well and can gain good speed with little effort, AND im only using a single sided paddle. Plenty of room and storage for fishing and recreation. When hunting I put the shotgun in the boat with me and decoys either float behind me in a train or go in the cockpit with me. You can also store items behind the seat in the cockpit. The storage area is great for fishing tackle and shotgun shells. I believe for the money you cannot find a better kayak. 5 Stars on this beastly watercraft.

Great Kayak
Date:
I puchased two of these kayaks and our entire family loves them. They are easy to handle and track very well in the water. This unit is well built and will stand up to years of use. Old Town consistantly produces the top of the line products. Their great quality is well worth the few extra dollars you pay for the Old Town brand name. Nothing wimpy aout these units. They are awesome!

Best Kayak For The Value
Date:
After looking at many other kayaks and compairing prices, materials, and design, I found the Old Town Vapor 10 to be the best value for the money and the best one to suite my needs. One major selling point for me was the room this kayak offers. With about 4 feet of cockpit opening, it offers the feel of a sit ontop yet the comfort of a sitin model. And with the large opening, getting in and out is almost as easy as a canoe. I bought the basic model that doesnt have the rear hatch cover. I got to looking at the different models and found that the cover would be useless and in the way for me. Im an avide fly fisherman and find this kayak to be great for getting just about anywhere I want to fish and incredably stable even when casting side to side. I fish alot of lakes and small rivers and this one is easy to transport and very easy to paddle. I added some bungee systems to the front, back, and sides to suite my needs and hold my gear, paddle, and fly rods. I also added my own anchor trolly system and rod holders. With less than $70, ive transformed my basic model into a craft that I feel is better than the deluxe fishing model that has many of the same features. Only down fall is getting all the water out in the event of a tip over. I purposly tiped it once to see how it did and after lifting it completly out of the water it still had about two gallons of water inside. However I fixed that problem by drilling a hole on top at the very back and put in a live well drain plug.
