By narrowing the shape and slightly lowering the seats, Old Town developed a kayak series that paddles better than most recreational canoes on the market. The Saranac features two contoured seats plus a bench seat perfect for smaller passengers. The bench seat has a covered storage compartment. A variety of extras include cup holders, rod holders and storage trays designed to add convenience and versatility. Thermoformed-plastic hull material is durable and provides better abrasion and impact resistance than more expensive fiberglass hulls.
