  • Exceptionally stable platform
  • Outriggers deploy quickly and silently
  • Flush-mounted rod holders
With its adjustable outriggers and stable platform, this kayak incorporates unprecedented innovation that specifically caters to the angler. The 4-ft. outriggers quickly swing open from the stem to create a steady casting platform at a moment’s notice. Just flip the levers while in a seated position and they’ll deploy quietly. By simply loosening two hand knobs, the outriggers are easily removed without the use of tools. This decreases the kayak’s length to a manageable 10’6" for easy transport and storage.

Inside the craft is a standing-assist grab rope for controlled entry and repositioning from sit to stand. Other features include a watertight storage compartment in each outrigger, a front anchor boom that allows anchor deployment from a seated position (anchor not included), and a high-rise casting brace for added balance while casting. Brace stores in bow when not in use.

Two flush-mounted rod holders. Side-mounted paddle holder. Collapsible, removable high-back seat. Adjustable foot braces. Self-bailing large-capacity scupper holes with plugs for dry operation.

VERY COOL YAK
Date:
I have only taken it out twice so far but like it alot. The one thing I realy did not like is it does not come with the push pole. It paddles good but I would not try to do any long distance unless you have time to go slow. Being able to stand up is awesome. It is very comfortable to stand in and I was able to stand in it for 4 hours with no problem. Once you open the outriggers it is very stable and the leaning bar works good too. You will probly want to add some rod holders and rig it for your comfort. Another great feature is having your crate and all of your gear in front of you. Makes everything eaisier to get to. The out riggers attach and come off very easy and taking them off makes it fit in your truck bed alot better.

Great Fishing Kayak
Date:
Freedodm Hawk Freedom 14. I purchased this kayak last November for fishing in the Gulf. I made my own motor mount for the back of the kayak and installed a saltwater 55# trowing motor. I placed the battery in the front. I placed a AL. bar on the bottom of the motor which is 10' long, it's in the center of the shaft. I placed 2 hooks and attached strings on each side and I steer the motor by pulling on the sinks to go left or right. The plugs are the only problem as if you pull one out, water does come in. This is a great fishing machine. My brother has a different kind and he wants to purchase one like I have.

To fish,, or to leisurely kayak??
Date:
OK I weigh in @ 280 lbs, the 14 foot freedom yak is super sturdy, i can get up fish, hunt, dive off of it, no its not going to be the best choice for rapids, or white waters, seriously... this is the ultimate fishing boat, surpasses a canoe, and is an all around blast to fish out of. recomendations, a more comfortable seat, and invest in some decent flush mount scotty holders in the front, illuminate the bow, and balance bar with illumination tape, and your in buisiness, stripers, trouts, bass, pike whatever you want, and just to kick around in i traded my Canoe in and im not planning on going back well worth the money...

Worst yak I ever used
Date:
I purchased this yak with High expectations but was I dissapointed. I realy don't quite know where to start. First the rod holders are directly behind the seat (witch if you don't upgrade is a very poor seat) where they are almost impossable to reach. If the scupper plugs in the push pole channel are removed the water will fill up the channel.I thought that scupper plugs were to let water out. There is no drain in the recesed seat area so if you hit a wave and take on water you will sit in until you get to shore to get it out. one of my outriggers leaked. As for the stand up bar, if you are not standing it is just in the way.The outriggers also sag when it is on the trailer, look's like they are broken. Storage lids are very very small. The only reason I rated it a one star is becaus there is no zero. Also company will not accept returns but great company of Cabela's saved my bacon with their warranty. I would NOT reccomend this yak to anyone.
