The ST Performance Hull gives these sit-on-top kayaks a surprising amount of speed and tracking without sacrificing stability. They are equipped with the kind of features typically found on more expensive kayaks. The Spitfire 8 has a Comfort Rest System (CRS) seat, a tankwell with cargo-net lacing system for gear storage, and self-bailing scupper holes to quickly drain water from the cockpit and tankwell. The larger Spitfire 9 is equipped with a Solace Hatch for easy-access gear storage and a CRS 2 Next Generation Seat with bottom and back padding. Both feature a sit-on-top design that allows more freedom of movement (you can even stand), and makes entering and exiting the kayak easier, even in open water. Paddle ledges to secure paddles and side carry handles. Molded-in footwells for comfortable and secure foot bracing. Made in USA.
