All American® Pressure Cooker

  • Exclusive metal-to-metal seal
  • Easy-to-read geared steam gauge
  • Positive-action clamping wingnuts
  • Automatic over-pressure release
Take the pressure off of pressure cooking and home canning with the All American line of pressure cookers. Pressure canning is the only way to confidently can meat, fish, poultry and vegetables. With two capacity options, these pressure cookers have the features for preparing large quantities of food and turning inexpensive cuts of meat into tender, juicy entrees. These cookers feature an exclusive, precision-machined metal-to-metal sealing system using positive-action clamping locks which align the cover to the base forming a steam-tight seal. Without a gasket, the cover is easy to open and close. Extra-heavy-duty cast-aluminum construction for fast and even cooking. Stay-cool bakelite top handle. Geared steam gauge. Two automatic venting features for safety. Pressure regulator weight with settings of 5, 10 and 15 psi. Smooth, easy-to-clean satin finish. Double-thick edges for wear protection. Made in USA.

Very Old School
Date:
This design goes back to the very earliest pressure cooker designs. It has its place with advanced canning needs.
However, this is a lot more than you need for pressure cooker cooking and I would not recommend it for cooking use. The clamps and the pressure guage allow you to cook under a variety of pressure levels and it allows you to create more pressure than is typical for pressure cooking recipes.
Bottom line, get this pressure cooker for canning, but if you want a pressure cooker for cooking dinners, get a modern pressure cooker for that purpose.

FANTASTIC
Date:
I have canned for over 48 years, since my teens every season. I have used this canner for all those years..
It is one of the greatest items you can have. PLUS it is American made....
Never had a problem in all the years...keeps pressure, easy to clean, manage...does quarts, pints and 1/2 gallons...
Love it.
