Yummy Camping Fun

The double pie iron made for great fun and great food on a recent car camping excursion over 4th of July. We started with basic ham & cheese sandwiches, then started playing with leftovers from a previous meal ... ham, cheese, and a little coleslaw then ham, cheese, and baked beans. Both unusual yet yummy combinations. The double iron was great because you can cook up twice as much in the same amount of time.

These pie irons are the best! They are well built: sturdy and dependable, easy to clean. They will last a long time through many camping adventures. Cast iron is a must! The aluminum ones made by other companies (can melt) don't come close to the quality of these.

I was unsure when I bought it for a fishing trip. But once we started using it we all had fun creating our own sandwich creations. I am going to buy at least one more because we hated waiting.
