I got the flintlock model. It stretches pretty tight to make a fairly flat, stable surface, although it's not so tight that you could bounce a quarter off it so it may be a little tippy for any tumbler glasses. It does have cup holders, but these seem to be made of thin mesh material that I don't expect to hold up very well. That, and my oversized mugs won't fit in them anyway.
I like that I can position my camp chair under it to sit up at the table to eat. It has a good height, and it's easy to fold and unfold. It's a little heavy for backpacking but it's fine as a car-camping accessory.
I bought it mainly as a portable table to use for setting up my rifle scopes, as I needed a stable, level, long surface to set up the rifle shooting vice.
