this is not a flimzy SS cook pot. i bought the bigger one and have no complaints or worries. it seems to be well made and it is sturdy. im sure your paying for the brand name but... im still glad i got it . i like how the handle closes and locks over the lid (tight) for storage and travel. it could probably take a beating but i wouldnt smash it around to test it. im not worried about it and look forward to YEARS of use. i didnt give 5 stars because it would have to really WOW me. its a pot..... a good one, but just a pot
