I am using this adaptor that is meant to connect the small green bottles to a large BBQ in a different way.
I have an 8' hose with a conventional BBQ end on it and a disposable end on the other end.
This hose I use with my Coleman Roadtrip BBQ which only has a disposable type take end on it.
I also have a tree hooked up to my conventional tank. This adapter is hooked on top one of the three disposable ends. I can thus use my 8' hose to hook up to my Coleman BBQ.
The only problem I had with it is that the fitting into the tree is tight and the rubber inside the tree's fitting stayed hooked up to the adapters internals - if I use the same plug off the tree each time i will be fine.

The Winter storm hit early this season. Last year we experienced frozen and broken pipes. What to do to keep the Well House warm during severe cold snaps? With this adapter and a propane camp stove, we were able to keep the well house warm enough to prevent the pipes from freezing. The adapter sealed real good so there were no leaks to worry about.
