Great Stove. Lightweight and efficient.
Date:
I have used this stove in all sorts of conditions and it has worked well and cooked many meals quickly. I will list some items I consider very minor issues, call me picky if you like, but...
You will need to make a wind screen out of aluminum foil. Cover only the windward side, and leave the valve knob in the open. Shake the canister before use, the mixture of propane/butane/isopropane is not homogeneous. Be sure the stove is screwed tightly onto the can. Double check that. If it quits working in freezing conditions it may be ice (an impurity in the fuel) in the orifice. Warm up the canister or switch with one you just happen to have kept warm in your pocket. Stability with the large canisters is adequate. You can find a better stove, but not one much lighter and not at this price. I'm happy with it. Rarely use my MSR Whisperlite anymore.
