2 main reasons I gave this lanyard a 5 beyond what is provided in the description.
1. The lanyard sits high on your chest. (Basically shorter circumference.) If you have a huge head, this may be a problem, otherwise having the lanyard sit up high keeps them within close reach and out of the water whenever I'm standing in a slough. Opposed to my old lanyard which I used to tuck into my waders to keep dry.
2. The braid is 2x thick and woven tight. This keeps the lanyard in a circular shape while supporting up to 8 calls. Yeah I have 8 on it....and a dog whistle. The weight of the calls still doesn't cause the lanyard to sag and inversely cause the calls to bang against each other.
I love my Heavy-Hauler Lanyard. It's nice having a thicker strap around your neck to spread the weight out, also it's nice having snap swivels attaching your calls. I would recommend picking up extra add on clips for other calls. It's easy to switch them out depending on hunting location and time of year, or even species. I have my extra calls already attached to the add ons sitting in my blind bag depending on what the day presents, so it's not big deal to switch a call in or out, without carrying 20 calls around your neck and trying to find the one your looking for when the birds are coming in.
