Delighted - with one excepteion!

We purchased two sets - one for ourselves and one for our son. We were very pleased with the smaller knives and the shears. The scimitar however is not marked with the Wusthof name/logo and with good reason. It did not hold an edge at all. We brought our concern to the attention of Cabelas and their response in looking into the matter was first rate! They get 5 stars for customer service! In the future we will purchase Wusthof knives individually since Wusthof obviously included an inferior product to round out this kit.

Wusthof is the best.

As Advertised. Like anything else, if you want a good knife, spend the money. This kit will get every scrap of meat from a carcass with a surgeons precision. To me, food almost tastes better when it's cut and prepared properly. I carry this kit with me to camp and I don't let anybody use them. Not dishwasher safe, hand wash with warm water only. Worth the investment.

Kit is compact and light weight. I used the kit to butcher deer and the blades seemed to maintain a sharp edge. I was not impressed with the saw- and would recommend the kit contained a cleaver instead. I would highly recommend this kit because of the quality of the blades and the cost.
