G5 Sportsmen Stick Sharpener

This compact, super-effective sharpener hones broadheads and knives to a razor's edge. Premium-grade carbide sharpening elements have micro-adjustments for long life and precision. The V-shaped opening accepts any blade design with an angle up to 60°, and the comfortable ergonomic handle makes for easy gripping. The handle is 3" long.

This is a good sharpener for use in the field. It takes a bit of practice to get used to but you can get an edge as good as the original if you practice a bit and take some care in use.
I would have liked it better if it had a ceramic set on the opposite side for finishing the edge.

This Sharpener Works

I shoot G5 Montecs, which can be tricky to sharpen. I have tried all types of sharpening stones as well as the G5 flat diamond sharpener...these all work fine, but it can take a while and some practice. With the Sportsman Stick Sharpener, after about 60 seconds, I had one of my old practice broadheads sharp enough to hunt with. I was not too sure how well this would work when I purchased it...but I'm convinced now. Not sure how long the sharpening edges will last, but for now, I'm extremely happy with this product.

I used the G5 sharpener alot this year, on broadheads and knives. Worked great for in the field and gave me enough of an edge to field dress deer, elk and antelope. The sharpener puts a better edge on broadheads than when they come from the package.

This is a awsome sharpener,I hunt with Monteck broadheads
and could never get them sharp enough.This tool took care
of that problem,just a few storokes on this sharpener and my
head's were scary sharp.
