Tactical Archery Systems S.A.B.O. Gen2 Holographic Bow Sight

    • Instant target acquisition and sight alignment
    • Vertical alignment triangle improves accuracy
    • Peepless sight system for a full field of view
    • Pope & Young legal and legal in all 50 states
Inspired by U.S. military technology to quickly acquire a target and aiming point. This archery application uses a superimposed Ambient Ballistic Optic that generates aiming dots using ambient light gathered by fiber optics. The sight is legal in all 50 states and also Pope & Young legal because no electronics are needed for it to work. The dots are projected into a specially coated concave lens to magnify the intensity of the fiber optics and generate superimposed holographic dots that appear to "float" in the lens. This helps archers track their point of aim. Fibers are held in a ballistic configuration by a patent-pending design that allows for independent adjustment of the range points (20, 30, 40 yards, etc.). The dots will always show arrow alignment with an impact point, no matter what angle they are viewed from. Aligning the top dot with the tip of the lens triangle ensures proper form execution and consistent anchor point for unsurpassed accuracy. This sight offers the industry's first and only independently adjustable, zero-parallax yardage dots. Right-hand only. Weight: 9.8 oz.

This is the BEST Bow Sight EVER!!!
Date:
This does exactly what it says it does. Easy to set up if you follow directions. This thing is dead on. Have shot around 250 arrows so far. I can't say enough good things about this sight. Buy it you will love it.

best design poorest quality
Date:
This is the best sight I have every used. No peep is required and it is deadly low light weapon. Especialy if you the light attachment. However, the quality is the worst I have ever seen, but it can be fixed. The casting of the sight is porrus and of poor quality, so any pressure on the set screws on the box that contians the fiber optic pen snaps of the top. This happened on my first sight, so I sent it back to Cabela's. They sent a new one and I tried to be careful with the new one, but it snapped too. I liked the sight so much i decided to fix it. I cut a piece for sixthen plate metal and after JB welding the broken piece back to the box, I JB welded the plate metal on top. That put a stop the the top popping off. The other weakness is the poor quality machine work on the dovetails on the sight adjustments. No matter how hard you crank down on the set screw the sight will slid for side to side and wobble in the dovetail. So, you climb in your tree, pull you bow up, and as in goes up it taps the tree and you sight slids out of adjustment by a quarter of an inch and your hunt is ruined. The sight wobble from side which throws your windage out. one group shot down the middle, the next group off to the right, the next to the left as the sight moves in the dovetail. Here is the fix. I put the mounting bracket in my drill press and drilled and tapped the mount with fine thread allen screw the angle of which jams the dovetail and locks the sight in place. Now I use the screw to lock my windage it. The other problem is the pins do not line up. There two pins to the right and two to the left, but they do not line up, so your windage is different between the twenty and thiry yard pins. the same for the twenty and fourty, different for the fourty and fifty, and the same for the thirty and fifty. That is not a problem for me because I hunt the thickets of north Louisiana and my longest shot is twenty yards. however if I were to hunt elk in Colorado this could be a big problem. I killed six dear this year and I love this sight and for me it was worth all the work to modify it to make it usable and dependable. I would pay another fifty to onehundred dallors for this sight if they would improve it with high quality casting and good machine work. Antoher sugestion is to infuse the arrow used to line up the pins with tridium, so it would glow in low light. This would be awesome. Mybe they should take their idea and sell the a company that knows how to correctly manufacture a bow sight.

I love this sight!
Date:
I had no more trouble sighting this thing in than any other pin sight and once I did, WOW! First off the quality is top notch, it feels like it could take some serious abuse. After getting it sighted in I was already getting used to the whole, no peep sight needed and my groups were tighter than they've ever been. I'm no expert shot, since it's been almost 10 years since I've shot a bow, but I feel like I can already hold my own at the range. I must have had a problem torquing my bow since my groups always varied left and right. With the SABO Sight I'm no longer torquing the bow since the sight gives you immediate feedback by not allowing the dots to line up with the center line on the lens. I've shot it in low light at the range and im still comfortable with being able to shoot during legal hunting hours. I may need a sight light or UV cap light for hunting from a blind, but it's no worse than my old pins. Definitely recommend to anyone from beginner to advanced!

Pleasantly Suprising
Date:
I've been looking for years for a sight that would effectively eliminate a peepsight. I recently returned an IQ sight that I bought, as the retina-lock never held true and was extremely difficult to sight in. So, I was very skeptical on the SABO as it either has very hot or cold reviews. However, it has truly exceeded my expectations. I'm a bit of a researcher so bear with me...the form feedback it provides is very precise and appears on your target so that you don't have to look back and forth. It is very rugged and seems to be constructed entirely of aluminum (I'd heard plastic and this is not true#. It works great in bright and low light, however, you must have a very bright LED in a popup blind or you can't see the dots #no light in a popup). It's also very simple to sight in if you can follow instructions. I'm shooting incredible groups #3 inches at 60 yds!). I was very curious, and just thought I'd share what I've found with this product, as I was pleasantly suprised.
