Excellent Bow Site

I purchased this site as I was unhappy with the obstructed view of my other site with 4 pins coming in from the right side of my site. I wasn't condident that I would like it but I really liked the idea of a single point of aim. I purchased the DS5019 and put it on a Mathews Z7 Xtreme with a 27 inch draw and weight of 70 lbs. At this point the questions is not whether I liked the site or not, its how many people am I going to tell about the site encouraging them to buy it. I absolutely love the site. Before I was deadly at 40 yards, ok at 50 and wouldn't take a shot at 60. Now I am deadly at 60 and very good at 70. I have even been consistent at 80 yards on a calm day at a pie plate sized target. I don't think I would take that shot at an animal for fear of wounding the animal and not finding it but 3D targets at 80 yards are DRT (Dead Right There). It is necessary when sitting in a blind to range several targets within your kill zone to quickly adjust your site when the target presents itself but adjusting takes literally fractions of a second and almost no movement. This is the best site I have ever owned.

I had the sight for about 3 seasons now. Would not shoot any other site. Quality and craftsmanship are top notch. Adjust the up/down or right/left in seconds. Currently shooting an arrow at 289 ft per second. I have my dial set up 25 yards all the way out to 100+ yards. Currently using an 8X scope lense. Absolutely love this set up. Im 40+ years old and my eyes are going. With this set up (8X scope lense) you have to choose whether you want to see you pin clearly (wear 1X reading glasses) or whether you want to see the target clearly. That's my only negative, but this is due to my eye sight, not the pin/sight. In hunting situations I leave it set at 30 yrd. If I do not have time to adjust the dial when a deer approaches, you have to know how much to compensate up or down if your prey walks in at 20 or 40 yds etc.. I also recommend the .010 pin if your an accuracy freak. The smaller pin makes you more precise, especially at distance. Routinely shoot this set up out to 100 yards for practice purposes, and its a blast. Wish HHA would make a larger dial, so you could adjust your pin from 20 yrd out to say 150 yrd +.

I hunted with this sight last year 2009, everything that everyone has said is correct. BUT what is bad about this sight is that once you have pulled your bow back you cannot adjust it if the deer moves 10-20 yards. We all know that you cant rely on a deer to stay in place once you are in full draw. This is the only problem that I have with the sight... It is however enough of a problem to buy something different. Im changing to the spot hogg my buddy has one and its awesome!!
