Black Gold FlashPoint™ Solaris™ 5-Pin Sight

  • Microadjustable pins for windage and elevation
  • All-metal pin system protects each fiber
  • Delrin bushings assure straight adjustment
The latest bowsight technology in a lightweight, super-tough unit. Inch Wheel Adjustment makes sighting-in easier. One full turn of each pin's adjustment screw adjusts arrow flight approximately 1" at 20 yards. Pins are microadjustable for windage and elevation. The FiberTrack™ all-metal pin system protects each fiber in a small groove. Delrin® bushings assure smooth and straight adjustment. Innovative SkyCoil™ is 300% more efficient at gathering light than other systems, making pins bright and easy to see in low light, while the sight's photochromatic shell tempers pin illumination in extremely bright light. Rugged 6061 T6 machined-aluminum construction. Built-in level shows if you're canting the bow.

Bought this for my wife upon a suggestion of a local archery shop and have to say i'm extremely impressed with the sight. The pins are super bright, it has numbers on the notches making it easier to adjust and worry free if you slip and move the sight more than wanted. Can't tell you how many times i didn't un-tighten my sight enough and it moved rapidly and had to re-adjust my sight.... with the numbers you don't have to worry about re-doing everything.

I purchesed a left handed Solaris HD 5-pin sight late this summer for a new bow. When I opened the package, the sight window was loose from the mounting frame and fell to my counter top. Distance of the fall was about 8 inches. The verticle photo cell broke, along with 2 of the fiber optic strands. I called Black Gold to see if I could get replacements, which they said they would send out right away. A few days later, I received a padded envelope with a new verticle photo cell but no new fiber optic. The photo cell was for a right handed sight and was also broken! I emailed them back to explain, and they apologised and sent out new parts. Yesterday I received the new parts, which were also right handed and for a different sight all together! As a result, I leave for an elk hunt in 2 days with a sight taped together. I wish Cabelas had this one back! When I get back, there will be a new Spot Hogg in it's place before whitetail season.
Besides the poor customer service, the fragile photo cells have no place on a hunting bow.

I purchased this sight earlier this year based on feedback from a fellow archer. This sight has caused nothing but headaches for me since I purchased it due to a rattle within. For $150+ I would expect a quality bow sight with not a single noise with each shot. I have padded the plastic fiber optic covers as they originally appeared to be the cause of the rattle. Now, it appears per my bow shop and me that it might be the actual strands of fiber optic. I have spent nearly 12 hours over the past few months working to eliminate the rattle which we know is from the sight as when the sight is removed the Elite GT500 is completely silent!! I do love this sight based on the light transmission, but I am near my wits end with the issue mentioned above!!
