No archery range is complete without one of these convenient practice hangers. Just push the pole into the ground and you have an ideal place to hang your bows between shots. Hangers on both sides allow for two-person use. Includes two arrow holders.
I've had mine in the ground, outside, for 5 years. it's never been inside. It works great, never had any issues with it's stability. It's rock steady. I'm going to order more.
I bought this bow hanger about 3 months ago for use in my backyard while I shoot. The assembly was easy and quick. However, the first thing I noticed was that since the bottom of the hanger only has arms going in 2 directions (parallel with the bow hanger arms) the hanger had a tendency to tip either forward or backward. I was very careful to always try and balance my bow as best I could to prevent the hanger from falling over and it never did (but I shouldn't have had to be that careful). By simply adding another set of "feet" so that the hanger had a 4-way base the unit would have been rock solid. I moved it all around my backyard and never had any problems with the main support post bending or breaking as a previous post had mentioned. About a month ago, after hanging my bow up and going to pull my arrows I heard a thump behind me. When I turned around, my bow was laying on the ground with my sight ring stuck in the grass. The rubber coated hook on the end of the support bar had completely snapped off. While I was upset, the thing was 2 months old so what was I supposed to do. I started using the hook on the other side and it eventually broke off as well. I should mention that I never brought the hanger inside so even though they are rubber coated and seemed pretty well sealed, it is likely that water got under the rubber and accelerated in the problem. Regardless, I expected the thing to last at least a summer and it didn't. I found the little arrow holders that came with the hanger fairly useless since I always carry a hip quiver. Next spring I will buy the holders that just stick in the ground and that is what I would recommend you do as well. Good Hunting...
I have used the HME Archer's Practice Hanger for the past month and it has worked out well for me. It has kept my bow clean and off the ground. After each use, I wipe down the ground stake with an oily rag to keep it from rusting. A great accessory for any bowshooter. I highly recommend this practice hanger.
This looked like a good product but the first time I tried to push it in the ground the ground spike bent 90 deg. Even after getting it in the ground it does not stand up straight. I would not buy another one.
