Hornady 8th Edition Handloading Book
Date:
Don't waste your money on this book. The powder selection per bullet/caliber is very limited. Looks like Hornady just threw this edition together in an effort to show loads for thier superformance and levereveloution stuff, and even that has much to be desired. I paid full retail price for this book thinking it would be well worth it. Very disappointed!

Not Pleased
Date:
I load a lot of Alliant powder. I load Bullseye in my .9mm loads and Hornady shows Blue Dot. On the .38 Special info they show Bullseye but not Blue Dot which I load in that round. Why wouldn't they work up a load for all Alliant powders instead of jumping around. To make this book practical a person would have to buy 15 or 20 different powders.
This handbook would be great for someone just starting out.

I was very excited about getting this manual, but I was disapointed after I got it. It seems to me that Hornady quickly added a couple of things just to change the name from 7th to 8th edition. Don't think that you are going to get any good loads for their new superformance powder either, this powder is way over-hyped and they only give a couple of loads in only a hand-full of cartridges. Go to Hodgdon's web page they have more load data and it is free. I also hate the way Hornady graphs the velocity/powder charges, seems like the lazy way of doing it. Nosler needs to show them how it is done the right way. The only reason I gave it two stars is because there is some good info about reloading and accuracy, yet still not worth the money when you can get this info for free on the web.

Unhappy !
Date:
I bought this book, to update my reloading books. Wanted up to date information on 223, 9mm, 30-06,
40 S&W. Information on the bullets & Powder used in these loads do not show all the different powders that I use, the information on the 223 is real bad. Loads for this, does not show many bullets and the powder is alot less than my other 3 reloading books.
I may not even use this book. Hornady could of done better on this book.
