I have been making fishing lure for nearly 20 years and the components I purchase from Cabela\u2019s are as good as I\u2019ve seen. The completed lures are so good you cannot distinguish them from any factory built lures. In most cases they are better. These lure bodies are perfect for making trolling lures, a bit heavy for spin casting lures (at least for the fishing I do).
( P.S. Making lures is a good way to keep the grandkids stocked with lures)

I bought a bunch of these to start making my own size, style and color bucktails for pike fishing here in Connecticut. When properly matched to blade size they make GREAT spinners and trust me, even a beginner like myself is producing a comparable product as the mass production companies we all know of. I would definitely recommend these to anybody wanting to get into spinner building. It is a great joy to land that first fish on your own homemade lure, the pike here love them and that is my greatest accomplishment when it comes to fishing.

You'll be happy with these bodies. They match up exactly with what the other lure parts suppliers offer. If you take the time to test your lures and match the blades properly to the bodies and hooks, you can make a lure as good or better than the Mepps giant killer. Which is an under rated lure!
