This sleek, simple-to-install system includes a low-profile transducer and the LSS-1 black box waterproof module that connects easily to your new or existing HDS unit with an included 15-ft. This unit has performed flawlessly and with great the detail needed in finding fish, depth and structure.
Had a limit day on Sebago Lake with togue, for two people (12 fish), and a 7 pound top weight fish. Couldn't have done it without the information provided by the unit.
Looking forward to adding the Sirius Weather Antenna to keep and eye on the weather.
Great screen visibility for these old eyes and for tracking the downrigger ball and lure with such detail.
Bait clouds were easily seen as were the target fish,
so a correct depth could be fished exactly.
Loved the ability to be able to custom tailor the screens to what I wanted to see, and in the positions I wanted the information to be in, so as not to clutter the screen view.
Best unit I have had the pleasure to use for serious fishing.

    Excellent Choice
    Date:
I purchased the HDS-5 Combo and have found it to be more that I expected. It was extremely easy to install, has a bright daylight display and has more information than my last two "other brand" fishfinders combined. The only drawback is the owners manual is rather sketchy but once you are out on the water, everything falls into place with a little usage.
This is, by far, the best fishfinder I have ever purchased reguardless of price.

    Great unit!!!!!
    Date:
I replaced my LMS-522C iGPS and haven't looked back. Has ton of features and was really easy to learn to operate. I will be purchasing another one for my bow. The Sirius marine weather and radio are a plus (subscription for both are a little pricey) but may be worth it if you are on the open water a lot. The LSS-1 structure scan...what can I say...The wow factor is off the charts, spent a whole morning just trolling up and down the Coosa river scanning all of the ridges and drop offs. So don't do as I did and procrastinate about getting one of these units...Get one today !!!!!!!!

I guess you need an umbrella for them if it rains, will take a month for me to get a new unit from Lowrance whom admitted they had an issue with gasket thicknes from vendor. I have run lowrance units all my life I recently purchased a Humminbird 858c this unit blows the socks of of Lowrance. Good luck and do not forget your umbrella for the lowrance units..
