TeleFlex SeaStar® Pro Hydraulic Steering Kit

SeaStar Pro offers unbeatable comfort and control when steering most high-speed single-outboard rigs, up to V-6 and over 60 mph. Special helm valving keeps line pressures in sync so wheel feels solid and sure at all times. The compact four-and-a-half-turn helm requires only a 3" dash hole. Cylinder fits most outboards. Installation is easy with few connections and no remote reservoir required. Minor dash modifications may be required if replacing mechanical steering. Wheels to 26" dia.
Kit includes: Helm, cylinder, hoses, fluid, hardware and instructions.
Available: 14-, 16-, 18-ft. hose.

Great Steering System

I was extreemly pleased with the Sea Star hydraulic steering system that I purchased with one exception and that is that it took over a month after I ordered it before I received it.
The detailed instructions made installation a cinch and once it was installed it performed perfect.
It took less than two days to remove the old steering system and install the new one, even with having to modify the dash of the boat to compensate for the larger hole that was left when I removed the old steering helm.
One tip for anyone updating an anti-feedback system with this new system, bolt cutters work wonders for removing the old cables, cut the connecting ends off and pull the cables out either way. Sure beats having to pull the motor to get the cables out.
