Tear Mender

This natural latex non-toxic adhesive permanently bonds to leather, cotton, acrylic and other porous materials for a strong, flexible weather-proof repair. Use the included patching section or the patching material of your choice to form a waterproof, UV-resistant bond that will never wear out, or simply apply to a puncture or tear to seal the threads. Bought this for a boat cover tear and was surprised at how well it worked. I have used other stuff that didn't work but this stuff seemed to really work. Only drawback was you got one patch included which seemed odd.

The Tear mender I recieved did not come with the patch pieces that was advertised. I tried to use it on some tears on my leaning post but it did no good. If the product was thicker it might fill the gap in a tear and not require a patch. The patch would be unsightly anyway. There is no way to get to the back side of a covered bench or leaning post without removing the fabric form the frame. As far as using it on a bimini, dont bother. The sewn seams do not hold without re- sewing. his product alone will not hold it.

I purchased a bottle of this tear mender to try. I had bought some army name tags and wanted to attach them to a down filled vest I bought from Cabelas. I put the glue on as per instructions and it stuck the tags on in 2 to 3 minutes. They are really stuck on as I tried to pull them off and they were definatly stuck! I was impressed! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to repair,mend or as I did stick something on to something else,it works!
