Penn® Power Stick® Boat Casting Rods

Penn has taken its popular Power Stick® Rod series and added the Integrated Solid Tip design on these casting rods. The result is a tip that combines the action and sensitivity of tubular glass with the superior durability of a solid tip, while the blank-through-butt construction offers a better feel. Fuji® Hardloy® guides and tip top let line slide nearly friction-free. The wire line model has conventional carbide guides to stand up to the abuse that wire can dish out. One-year warranty.

Great Sturgeon Rod

The Sturgeon in the Rio Vista area of California don't stand a chance against the Penn Powerstick in the 7' 15-40 pound model. Have cought too many over sized fish on this rod. I have ownd one for over 20 years and you can now fish with two rods here. The choice was easy. 80 lb braid and your favorite reel and your set.

slick handle

The grip below reel seat is smooth. Easy to drop rod in the heat of battle. Rest of the rod is a quality piece.

I purchased two Penn Power Stick Boat Casting Rods for Christmas and the top guide on one of the rods didn't have a guide insert, so, I sent it back to Cabellas and recieved a new rod about three weeks later. The new rod that was sent to me was also missing the guide insert, so, it's on its way back to Cabellas. The one good rod has been working well and am very satisfied with its performance. If you order one of these rods make sure you inspect all the guides. The service I have recieved from Cabellas has been excellent, I would defenetaly purchase from them again.
