These plastic bow to boat gunwale brackets do the job. I've had a set in service for 10 years and they haven't broken or been deteriorated by sun. Too bad Cabela's doesn't sell the wood bows in lengths that would allow the user to make two bows from one length, or at least not have to buy several 6'ft. lengths to make 50" in. bows, lots of waste in wood and $. And forget about the two piece ones, not worth the $ way too flimsy. The plastic brackets are less expensive elsewhere but still a good product and easily trimmed for proper fit of the half round base. They come with an aluminum barrel screw to secure to bow, so it won't corrode, and holds the wood bow securely and far enough from the end to avoid splitting out the end of the wood.

these did not fit well as I did not have enough of a rail. After some thought and determination I was able to construct a system that made them work. would recommend use if you have a rail to connect them to.

The slots in the Cover Support Bow Rail Connectors is to small and don't fit thr rail ends !
