Does not stay closed

I bought these boat cover straps to replace some exisiting ones where the plastic connecters had broken. In trying the Cabela straps, I noticed that the connecters will not stay connected. A simple easy pull on the strap and the connecters pull abart. There is no way these straps will hold my boat cover on while driving . I am taking the straps back today for a refund.

Don't waste your money!
Date:
I purchased the pack of 12 for use with the trailerable cover on my Lund Tyee 1850.
Out of the 6 straps that I tried, every one of the quick release snaps released when I attempted to snug them up. There is no way that these straps could be used to secure a boat cover while being towed. They can't even do the job when the boat is stationary.
They go back to the store tomorrow.
