Stop leaks on virtually any surface with the Hippo Patch. Just remove dirt, rust, mold and mildew and apply the patch. It also remains flexible on any surface and can be applied between the temperatures of 13°F and 120°F. It’s the perfect way to patch any surface, including boat repair, canoe repair, kayak repair, livewll repair, tank repair, and wader and boot repair. It works on canvas, nylon, all metals, all plastics and all types of rubber. Cut to fit.

Let Down
Date:
I bought this hoping it'd be the end to leaky waders in the frigid Lake Champlain waters but this product wouldn't stick to neoprene or canvas waders. It did stick to the rubber boots but I was under the impression that it stuck to most materials. I have just bought the AquaSeal wader repair kit and it seems like it should work. Unfortunately the only way to tell is to throw on the waders and jump into the 42 degree lake. I should know by the 3rd or 4th decoy I set out!!!
Wheres the ice I'm ready to set flags!!!!

Use with leaking bubble filter
Date:
I wasn't at all sure that this product would work where I wanted to use it, but I feel it was 95% successful. There was a significant leak between the upper end of my 'bubble filter' and the hose leading back to the pond where we have goldfish. Over a period of about 36 hours I had lost about 250 gals of water.
After reading about the hippo patch I thought for the price of the 'tape', It was worth trying it, rather than taking the equipment apart and taking it to a plastic 'welder'. This had been recommended by someone.
I was careful in placing the patch to lay it down in overlapping layers and then cutting a small 3/4 inch piece to wrap around the top of the hose connection. When I turned the system back on there was a very small leak that seeped out for about an hour, but this seemed to 'tighten up' after a while. Thus for less than $25 I was able to do a fix-it, which otherwise would have cost me much trouble and considerably more money. I think this is good product. I did feel the directions were a bit confusing as they were worded such that one could think one should take the 'backing' off both sides. I recommend that it be revised to make sure there is no possibility that a customer will try to take off the 'fabric' side.

Neat product but didn't repair rubber boots
Date:
It's a neat product and I imagine it has its uses. However, don't buy this if you're planning on trying to repair rubber boots. It won't stick to the rubber boots and doesn't work at all.
