I have fished this rod for Cod, Flounder, Blackfish, and even big Channel Cats. Sensitive enough for the light bite, yet enough backbone for 35# Cod or 20# Red Snapper. Great inexpensive rod. It replaced an expensive rod that broke on a 5# Cod!

great rod

Charter boat capt. use this rod for my customers with a penn jig master. great rod to caught 50lbs striper and larger fish. Never had a problem landing a fish. This rod is light and very powerful used this set up for 5yrs and never had a problem with the rod or reel.

Love the rod. I had to replace it, kids slammed the door on the first one. The rod is stout enough for stripers, and light enough not to kill you with the weight. I would replace it with the same rod if needed

Had a 40 lb scate on the other day with 20 lb test line and the rod broke before the line did.......horrible rod when it comes to performance. Although it is a comfortable nice looking rod......performance out ranks looks anyday!
