WASTE OF MONEY
Date:
THIS ANCHOR RETRIEVER IS UNDER POWERED.
RETRIEVAL SPEED IS ABOUT HALF OF WHAT YOU COULD PULL THE ANCHOR UP BY HAND. SPEND A FEW MORE BUCKS AND GET A MORE POWERFUL RETRIEVER. THIS WAS USING A 18 POUND ANCHOR.

worst purchase ever Trac big water anchor winch
Date:
I took this winch out of the box and it went right back in and sent it back. The guide roller hits the bracket it is mounted on. It could not be mounted on my 21 ' bayliner the wire harness is way to short,it is a very poor design you have to use a pease of marine plywood to stabilize it. I would give it zero stars but you have to give it one for poor, this winch is very poor you have to remove the anchor when you are on the move and it is not good for a sand anchor this winch is way over priced.

Cabela's Needs to Stop Selling This Item
Date:
I have purchased thousands of dollars of merchandise from Cabela's and have always been satisifed with the products that I have purchased from this fantastic company, until now. This anchor wench is a piece of junk. It is so bad that not only have I written this review, which I have never done before, I sent them an email stongly suggesting that they stop selling this item. It is not up to their standards! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! BUY SOMETHING ELSE! What's wrong with it? EVERYTHING!

should work at least the first time
Date:
bought the big water 45. First time out, pushed button and it fell perfect, boy was I tickled. I went to retreve the anchor, pushed the button and==========nuthing. spool would not turn, went out on deck, removed cover and the gears were spinning but would not even reel in the rope with no tenison. pulled anchor by hand, stowed rope, and was madder than h--ell. E-Mailed trac customer service, still waiting for a response. Thats my story,
I hope anyone that buys one has a better experience than mine. Good Luck with that!!!!!
