I bought the biggest anchor to hold my 20' boat. It held equivalent to using a concrete block of equal wt. I tried all the various line to water depth ratios and couldn't find any to work. I buried it in my backyard to hold down my tent canopy. Seems to work ok for that application.

The anchor is very hard to get set and even when it does hang it will not hold unless its hung on a log or something.

The Absolute Best Anchor

A day of fishing can quickly turn into a nightmare if ever it happens that you get your anchor snagged on a submerged log pile forcing you to cut the line and leave it at the bottom of the lake. Such a scenario is completely avoidable using the Chene anchor. It's unique design allows you to easily unsnag the anchor by retrieving it backwards and/or upside down. This same retrieval method works to bring the anchor back into the boat cleanly mud and weed free. The perfect anchor for murky lake bottoms.

Don't waste your money

Best thing that occurred with this product was when my line came loose and I lost it. It forced me to buy a much better anchor. It simply does not work well, the water spike that replaced it really pointed that out.
