Bought these fenders for my new 21 ft Pontoon Boat. Very easy to install and the fit was great and they positionally match my dock side perfectly. They appear to be of excellent quality construction. My only complaint relates to stowage convenience...when you pull them into the boat they present an storage problem since they are large and awkward and semi permanently strapped to the rails.

WE WERE SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT. IT IS SOLD AS A GENERTIC PRODUCT AND DIDN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO FITTING OUR PONTOON. A GOOD IDEA BUT DIDN'T WORK. SPENT MORE TIME AND MONEY SHIPPING IT BACK AND FORTH. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE TO ANYONE. STAY WITH THE LITTLE OLD STANDBYS AND THROW THEM OUT WHEN YOU NEED BUMPERS AND PULL THEM IN WHEN YOU DON'T.

About what I figured they would be
Date:
I ordered four of these since I did not like the looks of the $5 bumpers hanging from the Bennington we just bought. The problem is these bumpers are a generic fit and there are too many variations of toons. When we instaled them, the curved part at the bottom does not even touch the pontoopns, leaving a gap of several inches between them. It connects under the deck and just hangs out over the toons. They come with two straps, one can be used to strap them from the playpen rails as you see in the picture, and the other strap to secure them horizonally and tie them under the deck to the frame.
Our first attempt was just use to attach them to the playpen rails as you see them in the picture. They have a small lip, maybe 3/4 of an inch that hooks under the deck. I had them attached as tight as they could be and the first time out, the water coming up from the front of the toon knocked them loose.
The next thought was to use the horizonial straps in addition to the other, and move them forward. So now the front bumper is about 1/3 of the way back from the front. Since I have two foot of deck space in front of the playpen, there is only so far forward I can move them. With both straps attached, they did stay in place, however the water coming from the front of the toon is directed onto them and causes the water to splash up over the side at higher speeds. I can probably move them back a little more to be out of the water flow, but that is not located in the most desireable place for protecting the front when docking.
Also make note of how high up they cover, as they just come above the deck. Think about your particular docking situations and if this will work. A lot of this depends on your boat, and it may work well on some and poorly on others. I am going to try and make them work if we can, but advise others to look at pictures and if you think they may work on your toon before ordering.
