ProMariner® ProTournament On-Board Chargers

The Pro Tournament charges batteries up to three times faster than leading traditional chargers by sensing each battery bank and automatically distributing its full charging output 10, 15 or 30 amps (depending on model) to any one bank or combination of banks. Distributed On-Demand charging ensures 100% output, even with AC input voltage as low as 90V. It has a gentle float mode for long and short-term storage. Every charger is 100% waterproof and pre-wired for easy installation. The rugged low-profile all aluminum housing gives superior cooling at half the weight of most chargers. It also has a push-to-test status indicator, and UL 1236 and FCC Class B Fused output cables.
Not for use with Evertroll batteries.

Don't waste your money on this unit. My third charger( a Cabelas replacement) just stopped working after 1 year use. The smaller Pro-Mariner is no better. One or more banks will not produce enough voltage to charge or the unit fails entirely. I expect better quality from Cabelas.

Good Charger

I purchased the Promariner 300L about 4 years ago and its been great. The only issue I had was with their claim of being waterproof. The term they should advertise is water repelent.
Last year at the end of the season I had some work done on my Triton and the shop pulled it out of the water - not me. Because the first thing I do after pulling the boat from the water up on to the ramp is unscrew the drain plug. When I went to get it out this year I found that the plug was left in and the water was up over the charger. I pulled it out and I could hear water sloshing inside. I called the manufacturer and its way out of warrenty but they offered to take $100 off the replacement cost.
Just mount the charger as high as possible to avoid the posibity of it sitting in any water any legnth or time and it will work great.

Replaced the first ProTournament 150 on Oct 4, 2007 (less than 2 years old) and now this one is done! When it works it's great, In an enclosed/covered/protected compartment - a heavy rain - no more charger (seemingly NOT moisture proof, much less waterproof). Looking for other manufacturers.

Tired of Replacing ProMariner Chargers

I have used these unreliable chargers for 3 years and I am on my third unit. If you like replacing your charger every year, than these are the ones for you. They work great when they are working, and the company repairs them for free, but I have better things to do with my time, like fish. I would not reccommend these chargers, and I am replacing mine with a different manufacturer. Cabelas should discontinue selling this junk.
