ProMariner® ProMite Chargers

The ProMite delivers all of the charging and conditioning capability ProMariner® chargers are known for in a small, powerhouse package. Automatic multi-stage charging brings your batteries to full charge and keeps them there without overcharging or overheating. They are saltwaterproof with a shock-resistant housing for superior durability. And they have built-in safeties for reverse polarity, ignition and temperature, along with at-a-glance LED power and charging indicators. Each is optimized for lead-acid and gel batteries. Power cord and leads are 6-feet each. One-year warranty.

Very nice charger

I bought the two bank ProMariner ProMite charger. It was very easy to install. I wish that the installation screws were included but not really a big deal. I believe the instructions ask for 8" clearance in front of the unit, well we all know that inside of the battery compartment is very tight on a lot of boats. So again not a big deal, I gave it 4" because thats all that was available. This unit is very nice and seems to be very well built and solid.

I would have given this unit a poor rating, but I did have the ProMite 5/5/03 charger for 3 years. It worked fine for 2 years, but this spring the charger burned out, and either overcharged, or didn't charge my 3 new deep cycle batteries, which ruined all 3 batteries, and forced me to purchase 3 new batteries before I went fishing this spring.

Another issue is that the cables are only 6' long, so you can only place the batteries that you charge 12' apart.

If you do purchase this unit, make sure that you check the charger and batteries throughout the year.
