Thompson/Center Universal Lightweight Ramrod

This lightweight universal ramrod measures 31" and can easily be cut to length to fit virtually any muzzleloader. This is a hollow, aluminum tube ramrod. The included bullet-seating and jag-end tips are threaded for 10-32 accessories.

Bought to replace factory ramrod and it was definitely worth it. Easy to mark, cut and assemble. Extremely durable and worth the money.

So the original rod that came with my muzzle loader was not worth squat. After bending it within three shots I had to look for a replacement. The price was right on this one! After cutting it to length and putting in the threaded insert it fit and worked great in my non-TC weapon. Like always Cabelas only sells the best of the best!!!

I guess that this rod is aluminum. It is rigid not like many of the flexible plastic rods that bend too easily. It is easy to trim and an earlier one that I purchased a few years ago has held up well to considerable use.

This is a very economical and practical way to replace an existing or lost ramrod. It can be easily reinforced by inserting a wooden dowel or an old fiberglass tent pole (with a little epoxy to keep it from rattling) into the rod before pushing in the threaded tip. Be sure to calculate the length of the loading jag when cutting to length so that the jag does not extend beyond the barrel end.
