Pietta Model 1851 Confederate Navy .44 Caliber Revolver

Patterned after the original made with a brass frame to conserve the South’s limited supplies of steel. Although designated as a Navy pistol, it saw heavy use among Army officers who favored .44-caliber firepower. It features a blued octagonal barrel; plain blued cylinder; tough, attractive walnut grips; and brass trigger guard. Choose the full-size replica with a 7-1/2" barrel or the identical, but shorter 5-1/2" barrel version. Both reload quickly with a spare cylinder (sold separately).
Barrel length: 7-1/2".
Overall length: 13-1/4".
Weight: 2 lbs., 9 oz.

incredible!!!!!
Date:
got this gun a few days ago was nervous as heck never shot a bp gun in my life hear of the dreaded flash fire and the danger of putting too much powder so i loaded it with 20 grains to be easy on the brass frame
used the lubed wads and the wonder lube Remington caps #11
1st loaded just the caps to clean out the nipples then loaded only 3 chambers as i read trough all review it shoots high 20 yards away had to shoot almost a foot lower but here it is the delight its a gentle push almost not a kick and a pleasure to shoot figured lets put it trough its paces loaded all chambers and did a couple at 20 yards and once again delight accurate when you know how to re aim it i figure lets go a bit more nuts got some targets at 60 yards figured lets see how off ill be guess what its sight are set for 60 yards like a dream never heard of anyone hitting at 60 yards yet
maybe im doing something wrong but couldn't hit with a little 22 revolver ever anyhow behound happy once again i'm your devoted customer for life
thank you once again

I found this pistol to be of excellent workmanship and machining. This is a really fun piece to load and fire. I don't have any complaints either about the product or the price.

Excellent black powder revolver
Date:
I bought this gun from hamburg cabelas a few months ago. Have put over 100 shots through it so far. Its a great gun. Fun to shoot, easy to load it if you have the right stuff. shoots pretty accurate at long ranges. Comes apart easy to clean it. Definitely a keeper. Everybody at the gun club always really checks it out when I shoot it there. recommended.
