Hornady® SST-ML Low Drag Lock-N-Load® Speed Sabots with Flex Tip Technology

Loaded with Hornady’s premium SST-ML™ bullet, the innovative Lock-N-Load Speed Sabot™ is the closest thing you can have to a cartridge for your muzzleloader. The unique tail section enables you to lock three Pyrodex™ or Triple Seven™ pellets directly to the projectile for faster and more convenient loading. In addition to this ultra-fast loading, the sabot engages the rifling of fast-twist barrels much better than ordinary lead bullets for accuracy far surpassing traditional projectiles. Tail can be trimmed to fit only two pellets if your muzzleloader performs best with 100-grain charges. Per 10.

The Only Sabot

These sabots shoot straight and true from my T/C Impact rifle. I shot a 1" group at 100 yards with open sights. These sabots are amazing. If you are looking for a excellant sabots, these may be it, they were for me.

T/C Omega w/ 150 gr pellet and 250 gr sabot

Struggled at first w/ 100 gr powder......went to 150 gr and saw tighter groups at 100 yds.

Due to problem with my scope, I was in a pinch and had to purchase these at a local store. I use Blackhorn 209 powder (90gr). So I just cut the tail off the sabot, and sighted in my Traditions Pursuit. Easy to load, and very effective. Dropped a 140 class whitetail in his tracks at 135 yards. Recovered the bullet in the opposite side hide. Great weight retention, as it held together after smashing bone.

The reason I gave such low ratings is for the 250 grain.I have a CVA accura and I have tried 100,and 150 grain 777 pellets with the 250 grain sabot.I have always liked Hornadys products,so I'm gonna try these in 300 grain,I'm hoping that will solve my problems,if not,I will try 777 loose powder,and if that doesnt do it,I'll have to try a different brand of sabots.I just bought this CVA and first time shooting a CVA,its got the bergara barrel,and suppose to be an awsome gun,and am sure it is,I just have to work out the bugs,and find what it likes to shoot.I really cant say I wouldnt recommend the 250 grain for other guns,but with this gun,they will not group.
