Apply pressure with the thumb on the weak hand to the top of the wrench while turning the lever with the strong hand to avoid a slip. Nip came off no problem and installing new nips is easy.

This is a #11 nipple wrench. Some rifles use metric sizes. I have a Thompson Center Hawken and it fits like a charm. Works great and is simple.

i have had and used wrenches that are easier to use. this one is a little clumsy. it works but that's about all you can say for it.

Oops, in my first review, I posted my review of the field model powder flask when I meant to post my review of the nipple wrench. That's why I shouldn't post reviews late at night. Anyway, here goes.
It arrived today and I immediately tried it out on my 20 gauge Pedersoli Howdah pistol. It fits and works perfectly.
It's exactly what I've been looking for.
