Good Value for the Money
Date:
This is my second pair of Steiner's that I own. I have the 10 X 42 Predators that I really love. These 10.5 X 28's are light, compact and solid. They are NOT as bright as larger bino's, but great for all activites when you do not want to lug around a larger pair. You would have to jump up in price by several hundred dollars to find a better pair.

Even better than the 1930s!
Date:
I have an old pair of Steiner's, from my grandfather, that date back to the 1930s. They've held up exceptionally well, and these new Steiner's are even crisper! The lenses are well ground for a sharp, clear field of view at the distances rated. I'd definitely buy them again - good value - and you can't go wrong with quality German optics.

Steiner Wildlife binocs
Date:
I bought a pair of these three years ago and I love them. I use them for both hunting and backpacking. I have carried them in conditions from dry, hot and dusty in the midwest to pouring rain and freezing conditions in the northeast. They have been dropped, soaked in rain, covered with snow and ice and they have performed very well. They have done well at dusk and at dawn even though I did not expect them to because of the objective size. They are easily carried in a coat pocket when hunting or hung around the neck. Other binocs usually are short-lived with me because I treat them roughly, the steiners have held up for three years so far.
