  • Cast magnesium housing
  • Ergonomic design
  • 30-year limited warranty
The high-pressure, cast magnesium housing, 44mm objective lenses and roof-prism mirror coating technology, which delivers greater, true-color image contrast and light transmission, are just a few of the features and benefits that come with the Steiner Peregrine XP binoculars. Combine these features with new, extra-large ocular lenses and large fields of view and these binoculars are designed exclusively to meet the needs of dedicated hunters, birders and explorers around the world. Using a lightweight magnesium housing that is shockproof and waterproof/submersible, Steiner engineers have developed rugged, ergonomically comfortable, lightweight 10x44 binoculars. The 44mm objective lenses are nearly 10/ larger than a 42mm lenses, plus they're built with an exceptionally large 25mm ocular lens. These larger lenses, and the binoculars' unique body design and focusing wheel, give them an extraordinarily rapid focus. The ergonomically shaped, rubber-covered body is an attractive dark forest green color. Embedded in the armor, Steiner has used a new gel-filled grip and thumb pad that add a considerable amount of grip and comfort. The XT's come with twist-up ocular barrels and interchangeable, ergonomic rubber eyecups, a quick attachable and removable Clic-Loc neck strap, and attached objective and ocular lens covers. 30-year limited warranty.

I took these binoculars(10x44)on a two week hunting trip in Wyoming. The optics portion were great, very good focusing made glassing long distances easy and looking into shadows was also good. The main problem with these is the twist-up eyecups, one was broken when I first opened the box and I had to send them back to Steiner and I was told I would be recieving a new pair with the upgraded fix for the eyecups. After 8 days of hunting on horseback and alot of hard hiking the eye-cups finally gave up.I started to notice they were very hard to rotate up or down when it was cold outside and if they were forced they would crack or come off in my hand, and the eye-cups must be all the way out to be usable, otherwise eye relief is messed up!So if Steiner ever gets the eye-cup problem solved these will be great binoculars otherwise they are way too much money for such a cheap design!
