Meostar™ Binoculars represent the ideal blend of high-performance European optics with optical quality and an affordable price. At the heart of these innovative binoculars is the MB-550 lenses that have been treated with a multilayer, ion-assisted anti-reflective coating to improve light transmission to an astounding 99.8% per glass surface. The result is optical clarity typically associated with binoculars costing significantly more. These roof-prism binoculars have been coated for phase correction to guarantee superior clarity and color definition. The streamlined, ergonomic design makes them comfortable enough to glass all day long. For a lifetime of use, the frames are constructed of a solid aluminum alloy coated with a rugged rubber armor. Convenient screw-in eyecups accommodate eyeglass wearers. Single oversized center focus wheel has a built-in diopter for fast single-finger adjustment. Schmidt-design roof prisms for maximum light transmission. Nitrogen-purged and sealed for fog- and waterproof performance. Wide, comfortable neck strap.

Beats the competition

Compared them the Swarovskis, Zeiss, and Nikon. The only model that equaled the Meoptas were the Swaro high definition. Unbelievable clarity and could see in low light when naked eye could no longer see much. Used them on a week long elk hunt in mountains of Montana, where they got wet in the snow and banged around a bit. Performed flawlessly. I'm extremely happy with the purchase.

Binocular upgrade

We have been wanting to upgrade a pair of binoculars for some time. We accumulated enough points through Cabela's Visa to make adding an additional amount feasible. We went to the Cablea's store in Sidney and spoke to the salesman in optics who was most helpful in reviewing the large assortment available. We used these binoculars during the Labor Day holiday on a trip to Yellowstone. The binoculars were everything we had hoped for-clear view, good in low light conditions, and because of the recommendations from the salesperson the 8x instead of 10x provided a much steadier view with less shake. The only thing I wish the manufacture would change is the size of the carrying case. With the neck strap attached, it's a tight fit getting everything back in the case.

I shopped for 6 months or so before committing to these. I was just like everyone else looking at the big three euro brands but after all the good reviews Ive read these couldnt be ignored. I did do some comparing and the difference was so little it took many times raising one pair to the eyes and then the other and back. In the end for 500 to 1000 cheaper you would be a fool to pass these up unless you have money to burn and need the security of the "big names". Try them yourself you will be impressed!
