Canon Image Stabilizer Binocular

Based on the optical excellence of Canon EF camera lenses, the Image Stabilizer Binocular system virtually eliminates the image shake common with high-magnification binoculars. Even when viewing from a non-stationary object like a vehicle or boat, the image is held crystal clear and steady. Ultra-Low Dispersion Glass minimizes chromatic aberrations for exceptional image quality. Extra-long eye relief enables eyeglass wearers to view the entire field. The 8 x 25 compact model is the world's smallest image-stabilizing binocular. All operate on two AA batteries (8x25 operates on CR123A battery, included), sport a water-resistant rubberized covering and come with a a soft case and carrying strap.

Wish I wouldn't have waited so long to get a pair of these. Takes all the shake out of viewing at long distances with the push of a button . It doesn't matter in the woods or on a boat these are well worth it.

I have 12x50 in another brand and it is so hard to keep objects steady without keeping my elbow's propped against something to steady my hands. The 18x50 by Canon are awesome! Absolutely the best binocular's I have ever had. A steady picture and a more pleasurable experience. A must have for the avid sportsman.

Tried Leica, Steiner, Swarovski, etc. Their images are excellent, but wasted unless on a tripod. The Canon focus gear is smooth, accurate, and ergonomic (in the right place). Image is very clear and crisp. The image stabilization works as advertised, providing an unequaled and pleasurable experience. Thus the Canon IS binocular series have no competition.
Would like to see a tether for the lens caps to prevent loss overboard, off a cliff, tower, etc.

I purchased the 10 x 30 image stabilizers because I borrowed my brother in laws twice while hunting deer in Nevada. I have several pair of binoculars and this pair is the best by far. When spotting deer at long distances the I/S feature is amazng. Without this feature you just have a pair of regular binoculars. Be sure that you take some extra AA batteries with you.
We older guys need all the help we can get.
