Cabela's Alpha Extreme Binoculars

  • Compact in size and comfortable to hold
  • Fully multicoated optics with phase-correction coatings
  • Fogproof and waterproof
  • Long, comfortable eye relief
  • Single, large center focus wheel for easy adjustment
Combine the two great features of quality and high-performance with affordability and you get the Alpha Extreme. The sleek, open-bridge design creates a binocular that is not only compact in size but also comfortable to hold. These fully multicoated optics with phase-correction coatings deliver excellent resolution throughout the field of view and increase transmission across the visible spectrum. And when the conditions worsen, rest assured that your binoculars will take the punishment since they're O-ring sealed and nitrogen filled, making them both fogproof and waterproof. Whether you wear glasses or not, the long, comfortable eye relief makes glassing easy and convenient. The patent pending diopter technology allows for a single, large center focus wheel for easy adjustment, even when wearing bulky gloves.

Great performance
Date:
I have had these bino's for several years now and love them. I bought the 8 x 42 because I wanted the extra light that they let in. I do a lot of archery still hunting and was not concerned about seeing far, just needed to see clearly in low light situations. They do a great job of just that! The locking diopter knob works great and I never have to worry about knocking it out of adjustment by accident. This is my first really good pair of bino's and I would highly recommend them.

Great Bino's
Date:
I have had these bino's for a couple weeks and have already put them through the paces. The eye relief works great, the adjustments all work well and stay put. I have been in low and wet temps with no problems with fog. The designers hit one out of the park with the lens caps, they are a tight fit and are attached to the bino's so you don't have to worry about them falling off in the field. I do wish they had a warranty comparable to the other big name brands though.

Best for the $
Date:
These are the best binoculars I found in the price range. I used them this year for bow hunting and will be taking them out for the general season in a few days. They aren't $1000 binoculars but they out do anything else I found at the price point of $200 or less. I got mine on sale but I would have no problem buying them at full price if I had to.

Bought these because I had a $100 off coupon hoping they would be acceptable. Well, Cabelas came through, they are excellent! They aren't ED glass quality but they aren't $600 to a $1000 either. What they are is a great set of binoculars for a great price. If you are looking for ED quality then buy it but if you are looking for a solid, well built, set of binoculars then give them a try. Clarity is excellent, didn't have fogging issues in light rain, and the arnor on the housing is good and easy to hang on to. If I had to conplain about anything it would probably be the weight, but that is just looking for something to Wine about. Cabelas you changed my mind about your optics, keep up the good work, I'll be back for more. Thanks!
