Good bang for the buck

I'm not an expert on binoculars, but these are pretty good for the money. I did a lot of research prior to buying these and they have a lot of nice features such a fully multi-coated optics. They let in a lot of light and have a very crisp image. I highly recommend them for the price!

Optics (to begin with) are fine. The strap attachment broke and Bushnell was prompt in providing replacement parts. After 2 years they developed moisture or some kind of haze on the inside of the lense (front and rear).... not acceptable !

Poor strap connection

The optics on these glasses I found to be fine, but the manner in which the strap connects to the binoculars is poorly engineered and breaks easily. At this point I have given up and just zip-tied the strap to the body. The lens covers I had to do the same with because they kept falling off.

Great glass-poor strap attachment

If I was only rating the optical quality of these binoculars, they would get five stars, as they are better than most of the binoculars I have ever looked through, including a pair that I own that cost over $600. However, the way the strap attaches to the binoculars is strange and of poor design. The round plastic stem that fits into the binocular body wore out after only about 8-10 hunting trips. Then the strap would not stay attached to the binocular and kept coming undone. If I only hunted out of a tree stand, this wouldn't be an issue, but one can only imagine the frustration of trying to climb a mountain while your binoculars are hanging from one strap.
I am returning them to Cabelas for an exchange. Hopefully this is just a problem with this pair and not the product line.
