Sitka Kelvin gear is remarkably thermodynamic and ultralightweight, making it ideal for
midlayering. Soft 100% polyester microfleece combined with PrimaLoft® insulation to maximize warmth without
adding extra bulk and weight. This thin insulation maintains a high heat-to-weight ratio, making the jacket incredibly
packable. Features two chest pockets for essentials, articulated arms for full range of movement and an internal
drawcord to seal out the elements. Imported.
Sizes: M-2XL.
Camo pattern:OptiFade™ Concealment Forest.
This jacket was designed to be used as an insulating layer underneath an outer shell. As stated in the previous comment, the outer fabirc is somewhat noisy as an outer layer for bow hunting.
I love this jacket! It is very warm and very light, which is a nice combination. It has a permanent place on my backpacking gear list. I had my wife make me a fleece stuff sack for it and it doubles as a pillow at night. Between its weight and fluffiness, this jacket cut my pack weight by over a pound.
I found this product to be geat for warmth and not bulky. Although it was comfortable I would sweat on the way to my tree stand if I had it zipped up and sometimes even when completely open. So i found it not to be very breathable. It would be great for tree stand hunting once you got to your tree. I do a lot of hunting in illinois and some times you have to walk to your stand with just a thermal or outershell if you have to cross a large crop field so you dont built up to much heat.
My biggest complain for the money was that the outer shell snagged and made noise when drawing my bow. I move quiete a lot on my stand and quietness is imparrative. I found the Kelvin to be noisey and snag when rubbed against the tree.
You can get better midlayers through cabellas or other manufactures. Would not recommend it.
