I cannot comment on this as an Elk call, but I use this item as a Sika Deer call in the UK as recommended by fellow stalkers. It is a really effective and easy way to bring the deer out of the woods into shooting range, we have even seen deer called in from over 400+ yards to investigate, along with the "Sceery" elk call. Would highly recommend from this hunting point of view.

This is a great call for a beginner. Very easy to learn. There are some secrets to using one even better than just pushing it. It worked very well about 4 years ago, but the bulls here in NM are getting smart to it. It served its purpose, but is outdated where I hunt.

This is a great sounding and easy to use call, especailly when your heart is pounding and can't breath to use a mouth call when that big bull is close. lol Stops them for that standing shot.
