The Big Can

The Can is awesome...like deer on a leash. After three series, a small 6-pointer came running in followed by a 140 class 8-pointer lurking in the shadows. I played with the 6-pointer for 15 minutes until the big 8 committted and came a running. A minute later I was viewing a beautiful rack with my binoculars after a clean kill with my Matthews Outback. The Can was the edge I needed, the rest was history.

I tried the Great Big Can for the first time this deer season. I spotted a buck about 60 yards away and gave him four quick bleats that stopped him in his tracks. As he stared in my direction I gave him two quick bleats and he literally trotted over to a spot 18 yards in front of my tree stand and stood broadside looking for his expected girl friend. Unfortunately, I had already filled my buck tag and could only admire him.
