Cabela's Tactical Tat'r™ Kickstand Turkey Vest

    • Kickstand allows you to comfortably sit anywhere
    • Patented Speed Seat technology
    • Three-layer, 3"-thick Memory Tech seat
    • Couch Cushion back
    • Mesh back panels allow air to circulate
    • Adjustable Friction Fit box-call pocket with elastic chalk pocket
For optimum performance and comfort, adjust the seat-adjustment straps before heading into the field. Some of the straps around the kickstand frame may require rerouting. In order for the kickstand frame to function properly, the connector strap between the metal frame and seat must be properly adjusted. This is important because it is the wearer’s weight, which is supported by the connecting nylon webbing strap, that holds the frame in place to provide back support.

Incorporates all the functional changes our customers asked for, from a cooler, increased airflow back panel to a larger, expandable game bag. We even added a kickstand so you can create a comfortable place to sit wherever you are. Patented Speed Seat™ technology features a rapid stow and deploy seat that quietly flips up and down in a flash without fumbling. Once deployed, the three-layer, 3"-thick Memory Tech seat will have you feeling like you plopped down on a pillow. Recline and you’ll instantly feel the new Couch Cushion™ back that utilizes raised closed-cell, foam-padded mesh panels on pressure points to support your back. Individual mesh back panels also allow air to circulate between your back and the vest. Wide, padded adjustable shoulder straps distribute weight evenly and prevent back and shoulder fatigue. Adjustable sternum strap and two waist buckles allow for a totally adjustable fit. The right side of the vest has three designated, zippered pockets with glove-friendly zipper pulls. The flip-down slate-call workstation safely secures two friction calls and up to three strikers. A tethered alligator clip affixed to the inside of the pocket holds sandpaper or a scouring pad. Cord stays hold the pocket open at just the right angle. A second flip-down mesh pocket stores extra batteries and incidentals. Another vertical, zippered Cordura® nylon-bottomed side pocket is perfect for pruning shears. At the top, reverse-coil, zippered horizontal and slash pockets for storing maps, gloves or shells. On the vest’s left panel, you’ll find a horizontal Friction Fit™ box-call pocket complete with elastic chalk pocket, a silent-close flap and adjustable drawcord. On the upper portion of the vest, an attached mouth-call wallet fits neatly into an elastic pouch. It also has a D-ring lanyard attachment. A mesh pocket is practical for accessing locator calls. Another reverse-coil, zippered horizontal pocket provides more easy-access storage. It also has two spacious, zippered interior mesh pockets and a 1-qt. mesh water bottle pocket on the side. A new enlarged attached, lined bloodproof game bag with adjustable capacity is large enough to carry decoys and bearded trophies. The game bag has two quick-release buckles at the top for easy access. It comes with a blaze orange patch that snaps on and off for safety when traveling in the woods. Made of durable 60/40 polyester/cotton. One size fits most. Imported.

Superlative comfort and function
Date:
I bought one of these last year and used it all of the spring turkey season with excellent results. (I hunted 43 days.) It took me a little experimentation to adjust the seat straps, but once I got it right it was almost as comfortable as my easy chair in the den. It is very comfortable, which is important for long sits with uncooperative gobblers, and the back support lets me sit anywhere without having to find a tree to sit against and where I hunt, that's VERY important. It is well engineered and the pockets are well laid out for ease of access. It is better than the old Gobbler Lounge which has been out of production for years. It is a great turkey hunting tool.

Awesome vest
Date:
This is a very well built vest. I just spent an hour sitting in the center of my living room floor, watching tv with the vest on and all my gear loaded in the pockets. VERY comfortable. I'm 5'7" and 170lbs. The vest is a little loose on my mid section. The straps wont tighten up enough. But that really has nothing to do with how the vest functions as a chair or how it will function to haul the gear in the woods. I did have some troubles with the seat not flipping back like the picture shows. After I unhooked the side seat buckles and re-routed them around the kickstand I was able to flip and secure the seat up under the lower back, which i feel is much easier to reach than trying to pull a seat down that is extended directly behind you, and on top of your decoys or blind. So that worked out great too. I can pull the seat down into position with one hand now. And I also was able to neatly secure my Ameristep Doghouse blind in the back of the vest. Still room for fold up decoys and stakes too. And the compartment disappears when nothing is inside because of nifty little snaps. Owned tons of vest. This is my favorite.
