For more than a decade, Cabela’s Microtex has been the material of choice for serious hunters. It’s tough as nails and quiet as fleece, but Microtex does so much more. It dries amazingly fast, won’t fade or pill and breathes extremely well. The six-pocket pants feature two back patch pockets, two front quarter top pockets and two cargo pockets on the legs. Heavy-duty YKK® zipper. Belt loops. Imported. Inseam: 34". Even waist sizes: 30-46. Camo patterns:Realtree AP™, Mossy Oak Break-Up® Infinity™, Outfitter Camo™, Seclusion 3D®.
PROS good cut and fit very comfortable average warmth/wind resistance for insulated pants. hold up well after washing. they have not shrunk or faded at all. sizing is accurate very quiet cargo pockets are the biggest ive ever seen, but still lie flat when empty
CONS outfitter camo pattern is not quite right. its a little different color than my Wooltimate items. average durability in briars. back pockets dont have flaps, and theyre angled to the outside. after using them though, i dont think this is necessarily a bad point. theyre more useful, but less secure. good for pruning shears or a water bottle.
ive got the microtex shirt too. id recommend them both if you can get them on sale.
All my Cabela clothing is great. Do not have much extra money to spend so I need to get great value for every dollar. Expect these pants will be the same. Was surprised when I got home to find they did not have flaps on back pockets to keep out woods and brush debris. Also, stuff will fall out if I forget to button the pocket. I may find some material and make some flaps, but a bit disappointing for what I paid. Store is 1.5 hours away and season has started so I got what I got. Guess the field testers missed this one feature. All hunting gear non-slash pockets should have flaps in my mind. Still expect great performance.
