Best option for the money
Date:
Wanted a good gun rest without having to spend the money on some of the nice Caldwell rests since I would only be using the rest occasionally. At a Cabela's store a sales associate recommended the Stoney Point bag. I had already used other bags but wasn't enthused about them. I purchased the Stoney Point bag and immediately understand why I think it's the answer. The bag is longer (about twice) than other bags and rifles sit well on the bag without a rear rest. The associate also mentioned that when he used his, he used his non-trigger hand under the stock of the gun for extra support. Worked like a charm. I had no problem getting a solid hold on the target. Bag seems well built and is a pleasure to use.

Only One You'll Need
Date:
Picked this up a week ago at the Hamburg, PA store based on the featured review. The review was dead on...the length and weight of this bag make it a solid, one piece option for great shooting. Don't mess around with dual bags or higher cost platforms before you give this a try. Like me, you might be pleasantly surprised at the overall ease with with you'll adapt. This is yet another great product carried by my favorite retailer. BTW Cabela's, get a NJ store open, will you? The Hamburg drive is getting old!

JUNK!!!!!
Date:
Maybe I'm I freak or something since other people apear to like this thing but it is probably one ot he worst pieces of garbage I've ever purchased. I just tried it with a rifle that I can throw over my day pack and shoot 5/8" to 3/4" groups consistantly, this thing improved them to 2" plus.Wad up your coat for a rest and save the money. Will return it ASAP

Tried The Others. . . .
Date:
I have tried several other types of rests including some of the other "bag" models. Nothing seemed to work just right until I settled in behind this rest. Nice design, good weight and convenient to position on the bench as you change from one yardage to another. I have found that using a small owl eared bag to support the butt stock makes a combination that is tack driving steady.
