Caldwell Lead Sled Solo

  • Compact versatile design
  • Smooth pivoting elevation system
  • Heavy-duty steel construction
  • Offset frame accommodates all rifles
The most affordable Lead Sled is also one of the most compact gunrests you can buy. It may be small, but this design is just as stable and versatile as you would expect from the brand. Smooth pivoting elevation system adjusts fast and precisely using a single knob. Heavy-duty steel construction ensures you of a rock-solid shooting platform. Integrated weight tray holds a 25-lb. bag of shot. The added weight and a heavy-duty spring in the frame significantly reduces recoil on all calibers. Offset frame accommodates all rifles including detachable high-capacity magazine models like the AR-15, as well as lever-action guns. Durable rubberized coating on front support. Welded steel brace with rubber boot secures the butt of the gun. Gun-retention strap on front support. Imported.

lead sled, a big help
Date:
I bought this for the wife to use because it was what she wanted, well after putting it together I tried uging it my self and when it comes to sighting a new gun open sights or scope, the sled is built for it, strong steel and being able to strap the gun in place takes the human mistakes out of the task. great to have around at the range..

Lead Sled OK
Date:
It works ok. It does jump around a bit, so I need some extra weight.

Great Affordable Rest
Date:
I was looking for a sturdy rest for testing handloads and sighting in rifles. Since I have bolt actions, lever actions as well as an AR, I needed something that would handle them all. This rest does. Some reviews of this rest say something to strap down the stock would be helpful so I just cut a strip of 1 inch velcroe, wrap around under the base of the butt stock holder and over the stock and that solved this problem. This is a great rest and won't break the bank.

Nice spotting scope for the money
Date:
I have used this spotting scope on two different trips to the range. It comes with a nice hard plastic case and a digital camera eyepiece attachment for using it as a zoom lens for your camera. I have not used the camera attachment. It also has lens caps on both ends.
the scope sits firmly and stable on it's tripod. It zooms in well enough to spot 7.62 bullit holes in targets at 110 yards. .22 cal is spotable but more difficult. .22 cal is easy to spot at 75 yards. Obviously larger calibers would be easier to spot at 100 yards and beyond easier than smaller calibers.
Overall it's a nice range tool and I'm glad I bought it.
Merry Christmas!
